Educational programme: The day has 86,400 seconds

17. 6. 2026

As part of the educational programme accompanying Patricia Lambertus’s exhibition *A Day Has 86,400 Seconds*, we spent seventy minutes asking questions – fourteen times – about the changes in Zlín, work, leisure, sleep and architecture over time, together with pupils from the Zlín Grammar School and Language School authorised to conduct state language examinations.

Within the exhibition installation, we sought answers to what we recognise and can identify precisely, and what remains a mystery to us, as well as how these mysteries relate to the layers of time depicted in the exhibition. We explored whether concepts from art history, such as functionalism, futurism and postmodernism, remain valid and are still applied in the context of contemporary art.
